Arizona Vortex Tubes

VORTEX Tube Coolers

Maintenance-free enclosure & cabinet cooling devices with no moving parts.
Made of AISI 304 stainless steel. Operated by clean, dry compressed air.
How do vortex tubes work?
A Vortex Tube is a device with no moving parts that converts any stream of compressed air into two streams – one hot and one cold.
A Vortex tube can produce cold air down to -35°C and hot air up to +127°C.
CLEAN, DRY compressed air is injected tangentially into the tube at sonic speed, with a grooved insert that creates a cyclone/vortex of air spinning at about one million revolutions per minute.
Part of the air is forced to spin inward and travels up the tube length where a valve turns this spinning vortex of air in on itself.

Arizona VORTEX Cool Tool

The spot cooling tool cold air gun, made of stainless steel, is an enclosed vortex tube that is portable and ready-to-use. The Cool Tool eliminates the need for mists and expensive liquid coolants, and improves tool life, finish, tolerances, and the overall production. If installed correctly it is maintenance free.
The Cool Tool uses only compressed air, just like a vortex tube. The spot cooling tool produces a stream of air 37oC colder than the compressed air source.
Being compact and having a magnetic base mount, the cool tool can be moved from one machine to another, and has a flexible nozzle to direct the stream of air onto the required area.

Arizona VORTEX Drum Pumps

Vortex Drum Pumps are made of stainless steel and work on the air vortex principle. They can turn an ordinary 55 gallon steel drum into a vacuum cleaner and shop vac combined.
They have a built in flow control to shut the unit off so there is no chance of over filling the drum.
Just attach the Vortex Drum Pump into the threaded attachment of a 55 gallon drum, hook up compressed air and you have a vacuum which requires no electricity.
Vortex Drum Pumps create a vacuum inside the drum pulling both liquids and solids into the drum for easy disposal.

Arizona VORTEX CNC Coolers

Cold air is directed out the cold end of the Vortex Tube into the enclosure, with hot air directed out.
The temperature and air flow can be controlled by adjusting the valve at the hot end of the tube.

Arizona VORTEX Air Amplifiers

A Vortex Air Amplifier uses a small amount of compressed air to create a much larger volume of air, as much as 25 times the amount of amplification. The total volume of air output and the volume of compressed air input is infinitely adjustable.
A Vortex Air Amplifier can replace straight compressed air fans and blowers in numerous applications and does not have the drawbacks of fans and blowers that require guards. It also has excellent vacuum characteristics which make it perfect for air conveying and exhaust uses.
They are quiet, safe, and maintenance free due to having no moving parts.
How Does an Air Amplifier Work?
A small amount of compressed air enters the annular orifice of the air amplifier. The compressed air accelerates to sonic speed as it exits the orifice and creates a low pressure area (vacuum area) drawing in the surrounding air creating the amplification and utilizing the free ambient air to create large flows.

Arizona VORTEX Air Curtains

An air knife or curtain offers an efficient way to clean, dry or cool parts, webs and conveyors.
Arizona Vortex air curtains reduce the amount of compressed air used and put out more air than older conventional models. Air curtains are used for large area blow off and cleaning of flat surfaces. They can amplify air flow up to 40 times the air input volume.
They are available in standard lengths of 6″, 12″, 18″, 24″, 30″ and 36″, and offered in aluminium or stainless steel. Stainless steel air curtains are ideal for applications in corrosive or hazardous areas.
How do vortex air curtains work?
Vortex air knives force a small amount of compressed air through an orifice or slot along the length of the air curtain, which causes the air to move at sonic speed. The sonic speed of the compressed air creates a low pressure area along the air foil of the body causing the surrounding air to create large flows of air. Since the Vortex Air Curtains use less compressed air the noise levels are almost eliminated.

Arizona VORTEX Air Nozzles

Vortex air nozzles/jets can replace simple open pipes or air nipples, and reduce compressed air usage since the air nozzles entrain surrounding air and amplify it.
Vortex air nozzles have no moving parts and deliver flow rates up to 25 times greater than the input air. Arizona vortex air nozzles reduce the noise level since they use less air. Vortex nozzles reduce compressed air consumption and save you money.
How do vortex air nozzles work?
Compressed air is released through an annular orifice which reaches sonic speed, creating a low pressure area which draws in surrounding air to amplify the total flow of the air nozzle. The design of Arizona vortex air nozzles maximizes the speed of the primary compressed air enabling our vortex air nozzles to entrain large volumes of surrounding air.
